Medical Assessment and Consultation (MAC) provides extensive and individualized consultative services in the field of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine directly to patients and other health care consumers in order to fully evaluate and explain their pathology and laboratory reports, results and concerns and, if requested, provide "second opinions" on cytology, biopsy, resection, bone marrow, blood and autopsy microscopic slides in order to achieve maximal patient education, understanding and "peace of mind". Furthermore, MAC is eminently qualified to provide a thorough explanation of pathology reports to achieve complete patient understanding of all their laboratory results including microbiology/infectious disease cultures and antibody tests (such as used in the diagnosis of AIDS) as well as transfusion medicine, chemistry, toxicology and urinalysis tests and evaluations for bleeding and clotting abnormalities.
