All MAC consultations are provided by James G. Caya, MD; Founder, President and Medical Director. Dr. Caya has over 20 years experience in Diagnostic Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and holds American Board of Pathology certification in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology as well as Hematopathology and Cytopathology. Furthermore, he has completed fellowship training at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology and has served as Professor of Pathology at Temple University School of Medicine (Philadelphia PA) as well as the University of Wisconsin Medical School (Madison, WI). Dr. Caya has extensive expertise in both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, having interpreted 40,000+ Surgical Pathology biopsies and resections, 40,000+ Cytopathology cases and 2000+ bone marrow examinations. His curriculum vitae includes nearly 70 medical publications and over 60 professional presentations to medical groups.

His professional skills and expertise are nationally recognized; he will thoroughly and painstakingly review your laboratory reports and other materials, analyze their meaning and significance, and provide you with both telephone and written feedback on these diagnostic materials. He will make certain you understand your pathology reports. Additionally, he will make certain you understand your medical situation and provide you with useful information regarding disease genesis, prognosis and type of medical specialist to see for further treatment/care. Finally, he provides “second opinion” review of all types of biopsy and resection tissue specimens as well as cytology and bone marrow slides.
